MWSA is an association of more than eight-hundred authors, poets and artists drawn together by the common bond of military service. Most members are active duty military, retirees or military veterans. A few are civilians who have chosen to honor our military through their writing or their art. Their only core principle is a love of the men and women who defend this nation, and a deeply personal understanding of their sacrifice and dedication.

  1. I am author David Lucero and I wish to extend my congratulations to author John Raymond Takacs for winning the Gold Medal for Fiction in this year's 2009 Book Awards, and Michael Angley for winning the Silver Medal for Fiction, and D.H. Brown for 2nd Runner-Up.

I am honored to have placed 1st Runner-Up for Fiction for my novel THE SANDMAN. It has been my lifelong dream of being a published author and to have people read my book. This event has only encouraged me to continue pursuing my dream.

Once again, I congratulate the authors in all categories and look forward to reading their books.

    Keep on writing!
